Other task managers ask you which folder a task belongs in. Ianua Liste asks one thing only: how often it should come back in front of you. The method does the rest.
Part of the Iànua suite · built on Vikunja, improved every day.
Every task lives in the list that says when it should be looked at, not where it should be filed. There are four working lists, each with its own rhythm.
The tasks that come back: complete them within their recurrence and they reappear on their own next time around. Weekdays only, if you need.
The list you scan every single day. It must be short by definition: if everything ends up here, nothing is urgent anymore.
The important-but-not-daily things: you review them once a week, on Monday, and decide what deserves the stage.
The good kind of parking lot: ideas and tasks with no rush, ready to be moved into a working list when their moment comes.
And if a task has a real date? Give it a due date, like anywhere else. Only here the due date is the exception, not the rule.
Five minutes of review, then you work in one place only.
Every morning, the whole list. On Monday, the Highlights get their turn too.
A ★ on the tasks that deserve the day. No star, no noise.
Starred and overdue, in a single view. The rest of the world can wait.
The goal is to finish the day's tasks. All of them. And completed ones disappear.
Today gathers your starred and overdue tasks with three clear priorities: Urgent, Evidence and P0.
And to keep you going? Points for every completed task, a streak for each working day with at least one completion, and an extra reward when you clear everything after at least three non-recurring tasks. Weekends and declared holidays pause the streak without resetting it; starting a holiday enables DND by default, while leaving it freely adjustable. A monthly team championship completes the picture.Available
Projects are shared and multi-user: you assign, you comment, you see who does what. But daily work is personal — everyone scans their own Todo (the filter of their own tasks) and closes their own Today. The team shares goals, not confusion.
Ianua Liste starts from Vikunja, an excellent open source task manager, and adds periodicity lists, Today, three priorities, weekday-only recurrences, a monthly championship and completed tasks that disappear from working views.
The code of our layer is public: you can read it, propose changes or run it yourself. If you'd rather have it already switched on — hosting, backups, support and the rest of the Iànua suite — that's our job.
